ConsultancyPrivacy statement
Privacy statement.
We process as little personal data as possible. This website uses no cookies, no analytics services and no advertising networks. Below you can read exactly what we do process, why and for how long.
This is a translation for convenience. In case of differences, the Dutch version prevails.
Who we are
AD-Development is an independent consultancy in AI strategy, AI integration, AI adoption and AI governance, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce under number 82260931. We are the controller for the processing of personal data described in this statement.
Questions about privacy can be sent to info [at] ad-development.nl.
The contact form
When you fill in the contact form, we process the data you provide yourself:
- your name and email address;
- the name of your organisation, if you enter it;
- the topic and your message;
- the language and the page from which you sent the form.
We use this data solely to respond to your question and, if you wish, to prepare a meeting or proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering questions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your message is forwarded to us by email. Should forwarding fail for technical reasons, we temporarily keep the message on our server so it is not lost. We delete it there once it has been dealt with.
Protection against spam and abuse
To protect the form against bots we use our own check, without external services and without cookies:
- A puzzle solved in your browser. Your browser solves a short puzzle issued by our server. No personal data is processed in the process. We keep a solved puzzle for at most 30 minutes, so it cannot be used twice.
- A limit per IP address. To prevent mass use of the form, we count how many messages are sent from an IP address. For this we do not store the IP address itself, but an encrypted derived value that cannot be traced back to you. We delete that value after one hour.
The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in securing the website and our mailbox (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep data
- Contact requests are kept for up to twelve months after the last contact, unless they lead to an assignment.
- Client data that ends up in our accounts is kept for seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Technical data for spam protection is deleted within one hour (IP limit) or 30 minutes (puzzles).
Who else processes your data
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We do use service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Hosting. This website runs at a hosting provider in the Netherlands. As with any website, the web server keeps technical log files, including your IP address, the time and the requested page, for security and troubleshooting.
- Email. Messages sent through the form arrive in our business mailbox.
- Typeface. This website loads the Archivo typeface through Google Fonts. Your browser then connects to Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address. Google may also process that data outside the European Economic Area; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We make agreements on security and confidentiality with service providers that process personal data on our behalf.
Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking services. For the transition between pages, the website briefly sets a technical marker in your browser’s session storage. It contains no personal data and disappears as soon as the next page has loaded. The self-check in our articles works entirely in your browser; the answers are not stored or sent.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, Springer and EUR-Lex. The privacy policy of the organisation concerned applies on those websites.
Security
The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The contact form checks input for abuse, and the data we keep on the server is stored outside the publicly accessible part of the website. Only we have access to messages and the mailbox.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can object to the processing, ask for it to be restricted, and ask to receive your data in a common format. Send your request to info [at] ad-development.nl. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. We would appreciate it if you contacted us first.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
Changes
We update this statement when our practices change. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
